How To Help
There are many ways that you can help Manna. First, remember that what you are actually doing is helping your neighbor, the person that might be living right next door.

Volunteering
Evening meal:
Every day we need volunteers to help with the meals. People can come to Manna from 4:15 to 5:30, Monday through Friday and help serve the evening meal. We do not have an age requirement, we just ask that you are tall enough to see over the counter. You would put food on plates, serve the plates, or walk around to our guests and pour milk. We want our volunteers to interact on a one-to-one basis with our guests. This helps to break down stereotypes that the volunteers and guests may have of each other. It is fun and very rewarding to go home knowing that you did, indeed, make a difference.
Cleaning, etc:
During the day there is always cleaning that needs to be done or errands to run to pick up food and donated items. The shelves in our food cupboard need to be stocked and bags need to be filled to hand out to families and individuals three times a week. In the summer we have gardens that need up keeping.
Food drives
Because of the constant need, food drives are an excellent way to raise food for our food cupboard and soup kitchen. Be creative, and think of new ways to collect or raise money to buy food items for Manna.
Donations
Your financial support allows us to provide individuals and families with everyday necessities such as heating fuel, power bills, rent, medicine, gas, and personal items; as well as Manna's additional programs and operating expenses. Remember that donations are tax deductible so when you replace your old computer, car or even small appliances you could be helping your neighbors and saving on your taxes by donating your used items.
